The southern end of Vancouver Island rarely sees winter as the rest of Canada does. Short dark rainy days fill the months of winter, but the temperatures dip below freeing only occasionally.
As an arctic front settled across the area late last week, there were some rare photographic opportunities providing an interesting diversion from the sameness of the drab winter conditions.
